January 10, 2000

Mrs. Waide,

I am applying for the (Sybil B. Harrington) scholarship, which requires a letter of recommendation.  I would appreciate it if you could provide one of the letters that I need from an administrator/counselor.  I have included a copy of my achievements during my years in Perryton High School so that you will be more familiar with what activities I have been involved.

My future goals include pursuing a degree in biology so that I may coach and teach in a secondary school system.  I have a brother that is a sophomore in college and have been raised by my mother, a single parent teacher, all of my life.  Receiving financial assistance is imperative to my attending college.

I have included the form provided for the reference from you.  I would like to pick the completed form up no later than January 27, as it is due in the application office by February 1.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Signature
